Welcome to the Houston Public Library System Summer Interns!

We are so happy to have you with us this summer.  Summer is a busy time for libraries and we love it, but we also love your help, your energy and your enthusiasm.

We hope that you will learn some things about libraries, about full time jobs and about the people in your neighborhood.

Although some of you may be working in departments that aren't neighborhood libraries full of children and summer reading programs, we hope that you may also benefit from this short orientation.

If there is anything about your assignment that you don't understand on any given day, ask  any staff member for help.  We are here to help you and our patrons.
